Do black and green teas contain caffeine? What is the comparison between coffee and black tea?

Based upon natural conditions, green teas have roughly 20 to 40 mg of caffeine per cup. Coffees have 100-200 mg. Black teas have roughly 50 mg.

How much caffeine is in decaffeinated tea?

Less than 1.0% caffeine remains in decaffeinated tea. In other words, 2000 mg of decaffeinated tea contains 10 mg or less of caffeine.

What happens to the anti-oxidant content when you decaffeinate tea?

The carbon dioxide process used to decaffeinate green tea leaves successfully removes caffeine, leaves no chemical residue and retains most of the beneficial anti-oxidants in the tea leaves.

How do you brew green and herbal teas?

Green and Herbal Teas: 
Please pour a minimum of one cup of boiling water. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea leaves and pour the tea into the cup.  In order to extract more of tea flavors and benefits, steep 5 minutes. However, over-steeping teas may make them bitter. 

Fortunately, our green and herbal teas are mild and have minimal bitterness so you can steep them longer, depending upon your taste. We recommend steeping the Decaf Teas longer from 5-8 minutes or longer in order to obtain the full benefit of the herbs. These teas do not taste bitter after longer steeping.

Chinese Teas: 
Please boil one or more cups of water. Remove from the heat, then pour it over the tea leaves. Let steep 3-5 minutes.  In order to extract more tea benefits and chinese tea flavor, steep longer.  In Chinese tradition, the tea is brewed longer and can be re-brewed.

Herbal Teas: 
Please pour one or more cups of boiling water over the tea leaves.  Then, let steep 10 minutes, or longer. Leave the tea leaves in the pot while you are enjoying your tea.  In order to extract more tea benefits, use the longer steeping time.  The tea leaves can be re-brewed in order to extract more herbal benefits. The Ginger Tea and Ginseng Teas are made from American roots and can be boiled for a few minutes to extract more flavor and benefits.  You can readily re-use these teas a few times in order to obtain their maximum flavor and benefits.

Iced Teas:
Please pour one or more cups of boiling water over the tea leaves.  Then, let steep 5 minutes for green and 10 minutes or longer for herbal teas.  In order to obtain greater flavor and benefits, steep longer, depending on the tea. Pour the tea into another container, then add ice and enjoy. Try any of our green, or herbal teas iced in the same fashion as you imbibe regular iced tea. They are superb brewed as-is, or with lemon and/or your favorite sweetener.

Our Ginger Tea also makes a delicious iced tea.  Certainly, all of our herbal teas can be enjoyed hot or iced.

Mix Teas?
Certainly, depending upon which teas.  All the ginseng teas can be mixed with our green teas for additional benefits.
